Grebe Cottage, built in the 1930s, is located in a rural location within the village of Upper Rissington, a quiet backwater in the Cotswolds. It is well placed for exploring the whole of the Cotswolds and is only a few minutes drive away from Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Burford.

The cottage is situated in one of three terrace rows arranged around a square open space laid to grass and planted with trees. There is an enclosed private garden at the rear with seating in the sun and in the shade. At the front there is an open grassed area with seating which is a lovely spot for relaxing at the end of the day.. 

The master bedroom contents include a king size (5 foot wide) oak-framed bed, oak chest of drawers and blanket chest and a spacious built in wardrobe.. The second bedroom contains a full size single bed and also has a built in wardrobe. All bed linen is of high quality and the bed in the master bedroom is fitted with a memory foam mattress topper for extra comfort.

The fully tiled shower room contains a toilet, wash basin and a spacious walk-in shower cubicle and has a large heated towel rail. We provide a selection of toiletries and all towels are included in the rental price.

The furniture in the lounge includes an oak coffee table and bookcase, a three-seater settee and a comfortable leather tub chair. The kitchen-diner is fully equipped and contains a dining table with 4 chairs.

Smoking and Pets

The cottage is non smoking throughout for the benefit of all our guests. We regret that we cannot accommodate any pets in the cottage.

We are able to accept payment by cheque, debit card and credit card. No supplementary charge is made for card payments.
